Laws o' the Land
These are the rules, or laws, of The Mohavians.
They are not to be taken lightly. Anyone caught breaking any of these rules with *'s by them,
will be banned emmediately for either two days or forever, depending on how bad it is. Rules with +'s next to the number, are ones that
are ones to take into consideration. Any who are caught breaking rules without *'s, will be warned twice
before being banned. There are quite a few, I know, but if I want my game to be run properly, then I must have them.

Joining

*1. You may only join as a Zebra, Ostrich, Giraffe, a Meerkat, or a Black Rhinocerous. No exceptions to any predators, or other African Animals. Sorry, but there is enough variety already.

+2. You may join with as many characters as you want. But please try to limit it.

3. You may not join with the same name as someone else. If someone has joined with the name you are using, and you do not let them know within five days, you must work it out yourselves.

+4. Please beginners, if you want to join this RPG, read the How to Play Realistically Page. Because this game is mainly for intermediate and advanced players.
What I mean is, do not use words such as:
anywayz, N E 1, any1, no1, &, 2, ur, u, etc. It gets very annoying. And try to make your sentences longer than just one line, or one word.(although, I would prefer EVERYONE to read it that's going to join!)

+5. This game is realistic. Although, very mild talking is allowed. But there is no good vs. evil, bowing, giving roses, holding anyone, tickling, etc. PLEASE try not to talk too much, try to use more 'body-language'!!

6. This game is African Based. Which means, it all takes place in Africa.

Common Sense

*1. You must JOIN before you begin playing.

*2. NO POWERPLAYING! (I mean, it's totally unfair)
Unnexceptable: Large Rhino charges at puny Meerkat, crashing into him, and killing him.
Exceptable: Large Rhino Charges at meerkat, crashing into him, hoping to kill him.

*3. NO SWEARING. I don't wnat ANY of this, whatsoever. Not even in OOC. I mean, this site is PG, but I just don't want any cussing! NO explaination needed.

4. If you do not know how to spell something, simply do not use it. Or, I suggest using Dictionary.com

5. If you are going to quit, do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT just go inactive. If you are quitting, let your pack/herd/etc., know. It is unfair to all if you don't.

*6. There will be no raiding.

*7. No Man-made objects. Such as: Buckets, paint, clothes, traps, etc. And this also means no human-inpersonating. You can not dance, hold things with your feet, point, tickle, etc.

Terrains

1. Only males may claim terrains. Sorry females, but that's how it is.

2. There is allowed only a certain amount of males per territory. Only enough to
fill the positions. And this does not count for young. But there is no limit to females.

3. Dominant Males will eventually breed with every female within his terrain. This does not go for
females outside of his harem, he does not breed with any females unclaimed.

4. You must go with the first male that claims you. You may put up a fight, or try to go to another terrain,
but he may just come and take you.

5. You may not find a territory to live in, you must be claimed(if a female), or excepted.
If you go looking, the Lead Male may attack you, and badly injur you.
(With the exception of Giraffes, but to find out why, you must read "Breeding", under Giraffe Information)

6. The positions consist of:
Dominant Male:
Dominant Female:
Offspring

Defenders
First:
Second:
Third:

Watchers
First:
Second:
Third:

Females

Offspring

7. The positions of Defenders only go to males, and the position of Watchers can only go to females. And there are only three per group. These positions do not go out to anyone. The males and/or females must prove themselves to the Dominant Male.

Breeding

1. Long Term breeding is allowed. You can be as descriptive as you like, on realistic terms. Please no pictures, they're not needed.
You do not have to own a terrain to mate, and the female does not have to be apart of your harem, but it is suggested that she becomes apart of your harem.

+*2. Some types of animals will have mates, or 'breeding pairs', though other species will breed, and not
become mates. Though on the game, you may have 'mates'.

*3. You may not have mates outside of the territory you are living in. You must have one within the harem, or else
the Lead Male may force you to leave.

4. The Dominant Male will breed with every female within his harem, regaurdless if she has a mate or not. Though he must have her consent.

5. Males will usually fight over females when breeding season begins. So watch out females and males!

*6. After the breeding has taken place(long or short term), the young will be born two weeks afterward.

Here is the list of times each animal may breed:

Black Rhinocerous - All year 'round
Meerkat - September to October (Autumn and Winter)
Giraffe - All year 'round
Zebra - January to March (Early Spring and Summer)
Ostritch - Differs depending on climate conditions. (But we'll say All year 'round)

*7. I will post saying what time of year it is, and what animals are ready to breed. You may not breed, if you are not in season.

8. The amount each species may have are:
Meerkat - 2 to 5(But usually four)
Zebra - 1, and only one.
Giraffe - 1, and only one.
Ostritch - 5 to 11 eggs.(Which she also lays an egg every two days)
Black Rhinocerous - 1, and only one.

*9. You must post your young's stats after breeding. Or just post their stats.

Challenge

*1. Only males may challenge. They may challenge for Terrains, Positions, and Females.(If a Dominant male)

*2. You can choose either to have a "Physical Challenge", or "Dice Challenge". Either way, you both must agree on how to go about it.
Physical Challenge: Each male will have a limit to four attacks each, the one I feel deserves to win, will.(If anyone is caught powerplaying, the battle will be over, there will no winner, no loser. It will be put on hold for at least three days)
Dice Challenge: In this there will be no arguing, fighting, insulting, etc. There will only be a dice. The highest number wins. No complaining about how the results come out on either challenge style.

*3. You must wait three days before challenging again. And you may NOT come back and challenge for the same thing with another of your characters. If anyone is caught doing so, they will be warned. Although, you MAY challenge for something else as another of your characters. Just not the same one.

Aging

1. Okay, this rule may not be realistic, but all young mature into adults at the age of 2 years.
(which then they are able to own terrains, breed, claim, etc.)

2. They will age one year in four weeks.

3. Adults may age as they please.

I think that's all. Oh wait, last rule:
****Have Fun!****
If you read these rules and understand them, put the word "butterfly" in your joining post so I know you read them.
If you did NOT read these rules, then I suggest that you do, instead of just entering the word in your post, because you will not go unnoticed...there are ways of finding out, obvious ones.
